If ours could speak we're sure they would tell you how wonderful time spent in the Cumbrian countryside is for our four-legged friends! There's nothing better than a morning ramble near Kirkby Hill, followed by feet up and a cuppa ahead of a day of exploring...Cautley Sprout is only 10mins drive, or try the Nine Standards where the view can be appreciated already from inside the property... so, why would you leave them behind? We're happy to welcome up to two well-behaved dogs in each of our self catering properties and there's no extra charge to pay.

Amazing
and beautiful flat, great communication from Chris and Fei, clear
instructions. Beautifully set out and decorated, comfortable, very dog
friendly including dog bed, fresh bread and butter, cake, eggs, milk,
cereal waiting for us. Gorgeous big shower, comfortable beds, cosy
fireplace, big TV with Netflix etc. Short walk to village centre with
pubs (be aware some stop serving food early, maybe ring ahead), lovely
countryside walks. Parking was great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

& Fei Fei’s place was impeccably clean and very thoughtfully
furnished with everything we could possibly need for our stay ranging
from a well-stocked fridge with eggs, butter & milk & home made
bread and preserves, to giant umbrellas and slippers for us to wear
after we’d removed our shoes.
It was very warm and cosy and felt
private and safe. The bathroom looked brand new & very upmarket. The
location was right in town but very quiet. Loved our stay - highly
recommended 😃😃

A wonderful flats located in a lovely quiet area, conveniently located. Chris and Fei were wonderful hosts and, while I didn't have my doggies with me on this occasion, I was touched to see the little thoughtful items left around for dog owners. The bed is really comfortable and the shower is hot and works well. Everything you could need is at the flat. I will definitely be staying again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully maintained, with so many thoughtful little details throughout that truly made it feel special. It was honestly the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, and Fei is just lovely — warm, kind, and a pleasure to communicate with. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly, highly recommended!

The property was clean, well maintained and renovated to a high standard. They hosts really had thought of everything.

Travelling home from Scotland

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Muddy Boots-Scarpa with my partner and little cockapoo. Unfortunately I forgot to write my review in time on AirBnB but had such a wonderful experience that I needed to write it somewhere! From the moment we arrived checkin was seamless and the place made us feel at home. The hosts really went above and beyond with thoughtful details such as homemade ginger cake, turkish delights, freshly baked bread. It was also a lovely touch to find homemade jam and fresh milk in the fridge. The place itself was incredibly cozy and I would highly recommend!

Having stayed a couple of times, Muddy Boots-Scarpa is a wonderful home away from home and a comfortable and cosy place to stay. Love the homemade bread and jams. Included were eggs, milk, butter and condiments which are appreciated for a short stay. A well equipped kitchen and dog friendly.

Just back from a 4 night stay in this wonderful home, one of the best places we have stayed in on our many travels. The flat is beautifully presented, spacious and well situated, great for walking the local countryside and exploring the town. Chris & Fei added special touches that made not only our stay but also our Cocker Spaniels one to remember. The milk, butter, yoghurts, fresh fruit, home baked bread, cake, cookies and jams were a wonderful and welcome surprise. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely apartment, room enough for a family and even the Labrador felt at home.
Excellent location by the church, parking and using the facilities were hassle free.
Walks
by the river and countryside just a few minutes away by foot and paw,
many choices for pubs, restaurants and cafes or a short drive out for
other options within easy reach.
Couldn’t have asked for more,
stocked with welcome gifts and comfort, clean and full of nice to have
(plus easy to use) tech too.
