Information updated: 6 October 2026
1. Discuss your requirements before booking
We want you to have the information you need to decide whether a Muddy Boots Escapes stay suits your requirements. Accessibility needs vary, so please contact us before booking to discuss the particular property and the facilities you need.
Our properties are Muddy Boots – Scarpa, Muddy Boots – Arcade Royale and Muddy Boots – La Petite Mews in Kirkby Stephen. All three properties have stairs. Their layouts and facilities differ. Please do not assume that a feature available at one property is available at another. We have not verified a step-free route, wheelchair suitability or specific access measurements for this statement.
We will make reasonable adjustments for disabled guests in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, considering barriers to our services as well as individual requests. Asking you to discuss your needs does not make advance notification a condition of your legal rights.
2. Information we can help you check
Please tell us which features matter to your stay. We can discuss what information is available and arrange to check details where needed, including:
- Access from parking or the arrival point to the entrance.
- Steps, stairs, thresholds and routes through the property.
- Doorway widths, circulation space and bedroom location.
- Bathroom layout, shower or bath access and available support features.
- Lighting, controls, heating and connected devices.
- Arrival instructions, emergency arrangements and communication preferences.
These are topics to check, not a statement that particular adaptations or facilities are provided. Please ask for measurements, photographs or specific details if they would help you make a decision.
3. Assistance dogs
Assistance-dog requirements are considered separately from our pet-dog rules. Please contact us about any arrangements or information you need, including for a property normally advertised as pet-free. We will discuss the circumstances and any relevant reasonable adjustments; assistance dogs are not subject to pet fees. This includes La Petite Mews, which does not accept pet dogs. Pet-number and minimum-age restrictions are not applied automatically to assistance dogs. Contacting us in advance helps us prepare but is not a condition of your legal rights. See Pets & Assistance Dogs.
4. Using our website
If you have difficulty reading information, using a form, navigating a page or completing a booking, please contact us. Tell us which page or task is affected and what format or method would help.
You may find browser zoom, your device’s text-size controls or assistive technology useful. If an embedded booking, payment, chatbot, map, video or review feature creates a barrier, you can contact us directly for help with the information or booking enquiry.
We have not completed a formal accessibility audit of the website and do not currently claim conformance with a particular Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) level. This statement does not certify the accessibility of third-party services.
